Maybe it is the memories of dad or grandpas old work truck that is driving a bit of it, but I am going to say it probably has more to do with the great look and feel of these old trucks. 1969
This was the year the 350 cid V8 was first offered, this is what made the 1969 model so memorable. This great small block V-8 would continue to be produced in the US up to 2002, and is produced to this day in Mexico. The funny thing is this is one engine size you will find cut across manufacturers lines being available in GM and Ford model vehicles. ’69 was also the first year for the K-5 Blazer.

1970

1970 had little change from the previous year, with the exception of the grille.

1971

Trim options where one thing Chevy opted to increase, otherwize, the body style is relativly the same in ’71Most options where geared towards looks and confort. Depending on the options chosen, there was additonal padding and chrome added. It is important to note that this was the year AM/FM radios were available installed on your new Chevy truck, and weren’t we all glad to finally have FM in the truck?

1972

Perfection was not sactrificed in the ’72 model year as well, they did not change muche on their trucks. A repositioned rear view mirror, and some wood grain for the interior on a few mondels was all that there is to report.

The best way to repair rust, is to completely remove it. This sometimes means cutting the bad areas completely out and replacing them with good metal.
